Dear Emmanuel Family,

With hearts filled with joy to see God’s faithfulness at Emmanuel Ministries, we
want to share with you our Emmanuel Ministries Update for 2017-2018.
We invite you to read about all the wonderful things the Lord has done at
Emmanuel through your support, prayers, and love for the children and families in need
that we serve on this hill (affectionately called, La Loma), in this city, at this time.
Thank you for your COMPASSION AND GENEROSITY!
When we say we could not have done it without you,

WE MEAN IT

Thank you for standing with us in our labor of love and believing that children in
need are also part of the future—they are not to be forgotten. It is better to raise strong
children than fix broken men and women! Therefore, we believe anyone who does
anything to better a child’s life is a hero in his or her eyes, and God is well pleased. As
Franklin Roosevelt said, “We may not be able to prepare the future for our children, but
we can at least prepare our children for the future”.

Jesus said, “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a
drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.  I was naked, and you gave
me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me”. We know the Lord is smiling at you for
with your support we have been able to show Jesus’s love in action. In caring for the our
children at Emmanuel you have fed the hungry, given water to the thirsty, clothed the
naked, sheltered the homeless and card for the sick, so Jesus is saying to you: I tell you
the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were
doing it to me!

We covet your prayers, love, and support as we daily continue to care for the
children in Juarez who need God’s love, compassion, and generosity in their lives.

With a grateful and hopeful heart,
Betel Lopez
